My Latest Project: GamesYaMissed.com
I mentioned not too long ago that I was working on some gaming projects to keep myself occupied between jobs. On Friday night I began the process and this evening I properly launch gamesyamissed.com.
Although I’ve been writing about games for over four years, I realized not too long ago that there are a lot of video games that I just never got around to playing. This is an issue a lot of people face: too many good games, so little time. Considering there is such a large number of games that people just don’t get to play, I wanted to highlight some of those ‘great games no one played’, so that’s why I started the site.
The first game I’m highlighting is the 2010 Action game Bayonetta. Although a modest seller, it wasn’t a smash hit as both Sega and Platinum Games probably would have expected. It did sell nearly 2 million copies across two platforms, expectations probably were higher.
The goal of the site is to highlight a different title each week. I plan on doing an initial impression on the game and then do a conclusion once I’ve finished the game or decided I’ve played enough.
Originally, I wanted to start the site by highlighting a Nintendo DS game, but I was unable to secure a proper set up to grab footage from the portable unit. I will probably have to do something off-camera. Once I can get something set-up that can grab good footage, I’ll move on to that console.
Please check out the site, tell your friends and if you have suggestions for games that were missed and should be played, don’t be afraid to share them with me. On top of that, if you have suggestion as to how I should tackle each game, please let me know. This is a great opportunity to give games a second chance.
